Description
This is the coast of Midwestern Escholzia. There's a range long chain of volcanoes that runs from a series of island in the Barclayan ocean up through the western coast of Escholzia and then continues to form the island chain that drifts into southern Salix. Much of this range is now dormant and has been for sometime. The rocks in midsection are composed primarily of scoria and obsidian and this erodes into black and red sand beaches.
As for life forms, not much lives on the beaches because the scoria shards are wicked sharp and shred most organisms. There are some fish and a species of WHALE that are adapted to living in the water and mammoth barnacles and blank limpets cling happily to the rocks. The striped seal and Rizeman's Sally are among the few semi-aquatic species that thrive here. Knuckle cane is the primary plant species along with a few grasses, all of which incorporate the minerals in scoria to form hard grainy leaves and stiff stalks and stems.
This is a part of a series on places! See more here.

Seal I love you. I want to hug you. :< I was encouraged to do another scenery picture.
Edit: apparently I'm a goof and made this impossible to interpret. o-o' Here's a shoddy extended view that should make the picture clearer, I hope. sta.sh/01deloof2s3j
